Today is the unofficial Star Wars Day, celebrating the iconic story of a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. "May the Fourth Be With You," is what you will be hearing and reading today all over the world and luckily there are a bunch of events planned by the new owner of the Star Wars franchise, Disney. Also, as a treat for today, we have Episode VII director discussing Star Wars with actor Simon Pegg, a well-known fan of the series as well as a star from Abrams' other project Star Trek.

In this short interview, two friends basically just talk about how Star Wars was and still is important to them. Pegg has often shown his fanaticism for the popular science fiction/fantasy films throughout his acting career. In the television show "Spaced" that he used to star in, his character would often talk about the films and even had numerous references in storylines and dialogue.

In this discussion video interview, we get to see Pegg's reaction to the news of Abrams directing the next saga in the franchise. Pegg feels that it is in safe hands with the director and he should know considering he has worked on another reboot with Abrams, Star Trek.

This interesting interview also compares the two most popular science fiction universes with two men that are pretty capable of doing so. It is a great little video. Enjoy:

Disney has a lot of events lined up for Star Wars Day, today. Since you can do a play on words with today's date and the classic Star War  line "May the force be with you," we are treated to a whole day for the story and Disney is excited to celebrate this year.
