'Ender's Game' Movie Teaser Trailer [VIDEO]: Iconic Sci-Fi Novel Comes to Life in Film, Release Date November 1, 2013

Ender's Game comes out November 1 but today we get to see the first trailer footage for the highly anticipated film. Though this is only a teaser, we now know that a full-length trailer is just around the corner and this incredible footage will have to hold us until then. Classified as "unfilmable," Ender's Game is an adaptation of Orson Scott Card's landmark sci-fi, action novel of the same name.

Due to the age of the characters in the story as well as the complicated action sequences, Hollywood was unable to turn Ender's Game into a film. That is until director Gavin Hood along with producers Alex Kurtsman and Roberto Orci (among others) championed the film into a big screen adaptation.

Asa Butterfield of Hugo stars as the young title character that is recruited into the outer space military to train to become a leader to save the world. Harrison ford plays his mentor and other cast members include Hailee Steinfeld, Sir Ben Kingsley, Viola Davis, and Abigail Breslin (all Oscar nominees and winner).

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Enderquickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soonordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
