Skillet, two-time GRAMMY® nominated Christian Rock Band, is set to release a new album, entitled 'Rise,' in June and debuted some of their new music at Warner Music Nashville last Tuesday.
Skillet is a four-piece Christian rock band that has gained notoriety in the world of Christian music and beyond. The band is comprised of John Cooper, on lead vocals, Korey Cooper, on keyboard, vocals rhythm guitar and synth., Jen Ledger, on drums and vocals, and Seth Morrison on lead guitar.
'Rise,' will mark their ninth album to be released since their inception. Songs from the new album that have already been released include, 'Sick of It,' 'American Noise,' and the title track, 'Rise,' was released on iTunes® on Monday, according to the Skillet website.
'Sick of It' and 'American Noise' have already become popular consecutively peaking at No. 1 and No. 2 on iTunes® Overall Rock Chart, according to Todays Christian Music. 'Sick of It,' was able to sell about 21,000 digital tracks in the first week alone. It landed the No. 1 spot on Christian Rock radio last week, just one week after it had been added for radio use, and also debuted at No. 25 on the Active Rock Mainstream Chart. Meanwhile, upon its release, 'American Noise' because the most added Christian CHR song of the week.
The platinum-selling rock quartet was joined at thier Nashville, Tennessee event by renowned producer Howard Benson, as well as some of their other label friends, including label friends including Atlantic Records' EVP and Head of A&R, Pete Ganbarg and Word Entertainment's President & CEO, Rod Riley, according to Todays Christian Music.
The new album will be released on June 25, according to Amazon.com. The album is available currently available for pre-order.
