Kate Middleton Baby Bump, Due Date [PHOTO]: Pregnant Duchess Gets Maternity-Wear Tips, Penguins Named After Royal Couple Also Expecting Summer Birth

As July 13 (the alleged due date of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) approaches, a handful of designers has decided to sketch out some maternity wear ideas for the pregnant royal. Big names such as Karl Lagerfeld, Lela Rose, Nina Ricci, Nanette Lepore, Chloe and Donna Karen have been coming up with some ideas for Kate ever since she started showing. But in a more surprising news story, Kate and her husband Prince William share names with a penguin couple residing in the London Aquarium. Not only do they share names, but also the penguins are also expected two chicks this summer!

That's right! Kate and William are two Gentoo birds who are currently incubating two eggs expected to hatch in June. Plus, these penguins are also going to be first-time parents just like the Duke and Duchess!

The London Aquarium staff is keeping a close eye on the eggs during this 40-day incubation period according to Aquarist Lucy Buckley.

She said: "We were delighted to discover that Kate had delivered an egg last week, followed three days later by another. The group only took up residence here two years ago and this is their second mating season so we are very lucky and naturally extremely excited. It's now a waiting game to see if the eggs are viable. There is a 35 to 40-day incubation period before any chicks are born and we'll be keeping a close eye on the couple, who are doing a wonderful job keeping the eggs warm and protected."

Fortunately for Kate the penguin, she does not have to worry about staying fashionable in the public eye during her pregnancy like the Duchess of Cambridge does. Luckily for Middleton, plenty of designers have drawn up some sketches of maternity ideas throughout her pregnancy. All she has to do now is reach out and one of them would surely drop whatever he or she was doing for the royal mother-to-be.

Designers must have been aggravated at Kate's slim figure throughout most of her pregnancy. The 31-year-old only started really showing about a month ago and before that was wearing clothes from TopShop. But with July 13 approaching, Kate has to start thinking about baby-bump-appropriate outfits for her numerous royal occasions and charity events.
