Nobody (outside of the Royal Family) has any idea when Princess Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, will give birth. Recent reports from insiders close to Kate's mother have suggested that the grandmother-to-be revealed the future heir to the throne will be a Leo, meaning he or she will be born on July 23 most likely. Either way, there are plenty of reporters and enthusiasts staking out the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's hospital where Kate is supposed to deliver her first child. We don't even know if she will give birth to a girl or boy, either, but one expert thinks that Kate's pregnancy has given hints to the sex of the Royal baby.
Dr. Jennifer Ashton is not Kate Middleton's doctor, but she is a seasoned obstetrician-gynecologist that has been in her profession for about 13 years. She recently wrote a blog post over at ABC News, revealing her prediction that Kate will be having a daughter this month.
Here are a few "hints" that, according to Ashton, suggest we will see a new princess in the coming days:
Hint 1: The Face
The mother's face is often the part of the body that reveals the most about the gender of an unborn baby. As the wives' tale states: Women carrying girls tend to have their faces become fuller, broader than women carrying boys.
There is ZERO physiologic basis or explanation for this - it's just a trend that I (and many others) have observed. It is not 100 percent accurate, it's simply a tendency. Kate's face appeared full almost immediately, well before she even had a "bump." Score one for girl.
Hint 2: The Belly
Wives'-tales (and many obstetricians and midwives as well) say that if a woman carries the baby straight out front, like a basketball under her shirt, and looks almost non-pregnant from behind, that she is carrying a boy. Pregnant mamas carrying girls tend to spread out from all angles (legs, rear end, back, face). Even the incredibly slender Kate seemed to fill out diffusely, legs and face included. Score two for girl.

In other news, Kate is expected to deliver her baby at St. Mary's Lindo Wing (which is the same place Princess Diana gave birth to Princes William and Harry) but the Duchess' recent trip to her parents' home in Bucklebury have many worried she'll have to deliver somewhere else.
A palace source recently told The Telegraph, "It is still a possibility that she could give birth there, though that would only be in extremis, as the expectation is that she will go to St Mary's."
If she ends up not giving birth at St. Mary's, plenty of news sources staking out the Lindo Wing will be disappointed for sure.
