"It's going to get insane very quickly," said "The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple right before debuting the trailer for the fourth season of AMC's hit zombie series. This new footage, coming in at just under 5 minutes, reintroduces us to the world of the walkers and the people attempting to survive the chaos. More people join Rick, Daryl and the rest of the gang, but that could easily just mean more deaths.
This trailer shows a big trip to the supermarket that apparently has some unknown repercussions. Back at the prison, walkers are flooded into one cellblock, killing many of the people that felt protected. Who did this? Perhaps the Governor is back and getting his revenge on Rick?
So they have to move, but where to? And what are all these dramatic shots mixed in really about? There is plenty of mystery around this first trailer.
This footage definitely gets pretty epic as it continues. "Step outside, you risk your life. Take a drink of water, you risk your life," Hershel is heard saying over scenes of zombie killing. "You don't have a choice: the only thing you can choose is what you're risking it for."
This trailer ends with Daryl, Tyrese, Michonne and new character Bob Stookey (played by "The Wire" alum Lawrence Gillard) riding in a car together, when a voice suddenly comes over the radio.
"Those who arrive, survive," the voice says.
