Tony Romo has had an elite-level NFL season, but he's finally starting to admit that he's hurting worse than many believed, which could lead to the return of Brandon Weeden, which many Dallas Cowboys fans would be unhappy with. Perhaps DeMarco Murray's strong running game has allowed Romo to rest more than many QB would get to, and that might be the main reason he's still in the team. With the big aspirations the Cowboys carry, can they depend on the injury-hit Romo?

He admitted he has had a broken rib for two months, on top of all of his back problems. He explained, "It'll be nice when it's just about the back [surgery] instead of all the other junk. I didn't last week in the Eagles game, and that was a poor decision I think."

The Cowboys are having a season to remember, with Romo a much bigger threat than Weeden, it's easy to see why there's a cause for concern. He added, "I'll probably start on Philly a little tonight on the plane. Then from there I think I'll probably do a little bit of work [Friday] during the day. I'll go ahead and get some treatment and ... take off Friday night and Saturday and probably come back on my own on Sunday."

The Cowboys are known for having bad luck, and one can wonder, if they make the playoffs, could Romo's injuries catch up on him then? If so, will the Cowboys kiss their dreams goodbye with Weeden as their new QB leader?
