Ann Romney went on the "View" to support her husband and presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Immediately, knowing the nature of the show, she was asked about being pro-choice. She was pleased that she didn't have to give her own opinion, but was there to discuss about what her husband stands for.
In regards, for additional reasoning of why Mitt stands by his pro-choice decision, she admitted, "I am pro-life and I'm happy to say that, when a decision came across his desk to use embryos for experimentation, he could not have, on his conscience, created human life for experimentation."
Later, she was asked about her family's religious views and war. The Romney family are known Mormons and have been practicing for a long time and stand by their values. Whoppi Goldberg went right in with the questioning asking her if she became the first lady how would she deal with the mothers of soldiers that come back in body bags saying, "Now, I know -- I believe that your religion doesn't allow you to go fight."
Romney interjected, "No, that's not correct. We have many, many members of our faith that are serving in armed services."
Goldberg then apologized and said, "I say that because when I read about your husband, what I had read, and maybe you can correct this is that the reason that he didn't serve in Vietnam was because it was against the religion. That's what I read."
Romney the n answered her, "No, that's not correct. He was serving his mission and you know my five sons have also served missions. None served in the military."
The ladies on the view are known for asking hard questions, but maybe a little fact checking needs to be done prior to the interview. Knowingly that Romney needs the women's votes; maybe it was a good idea not to have him on a talk show that clearly adores Obama- with the exception of one.
