A 41-year-old man was believed to be dead until he walked into his own funeral in Brazil on Tuesday. Gilberto Araujo was identified by his brother, Jose Marcos Araujo at the city morgue on Sunday in Alagoinhas, Brazil.

Gilberto resembled the victim so much that it was easy to make that mistake. Hours before the funeral, Gilberto was seen walking around and a friend told him, "His family was mourning him."

Gilberto went to his mother's house, and when his family saw him members fainted and others ran away in shock. Gilberto's mother told reporters, "I am overjoyed. What mother wouldn't be after being told that her son is dead and then sees him alive?"

Another unfortunate, but similar circumstance was when 2-year-old Kelvin Santos resurrected at his own funeral after being pronounced dead due to complications from bronchial pneumonia in Brazil. The little boy sat up in his coffin and asked for water before becoming lifeless. The boy was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead again.

Another instance, an infant was found alive in a morgue 12 hours after being pronounced dead in Argentina.  The newborn's mother, Analia Bougue said, "That night, we went to the morgue. We wanted to take a photo of our daughter," Bouguet told reporters. "But when a worker opened the drawer, we heard a cry and she was alive."
