Oprah Winfrey Breast Cancer Scare: Reveals Secret To Audience And Gayle King Shocked And Fights Through Emotions

Oprah Winfrey surprised an audience and her best friend, Gayle King the annual O Magazine's conference in Los Angeles last month when she revealed she had a breast cancer scare. 

According to the New York Times, when Winfrey made the announcement, King who was on stage appeared upset and surprised at the shocking announcement. Another woman who was on stage with the women spoke to Winfrey and chided her on not telling her best friend the news before addressing the public. Allegedly, the woman asked Winfrey to apologize to her friend and asked if she could apologize in public in front of the audience.

Although, the 58-year-old's scare may have been life threatening, she still continues to take advantage of every moment and remains the riches woman in world. Even though, many critics doubted her success for her OWN Network, she proved her critics wrong as she continues to strive in ratings, "the press tried to cut me off at the knees," she said at the conference, "bristle at questions about the challenges the magazine has confronted." 

There is no word yet on why Winfrey did not tell her best friend, but it is clear that there may have been some sort of issue in there relationship.
