Christopher Garret Johnson tried to make a dramatic point about school safety after walking into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Strasburg, VA with a 2x 4 labeled "high-powered rifle."
The 33-year-old man faces disorderly conduct charges for behavior, which officials call "inappropriate, at best."
Johnson's senseless point making comes after gunman, Adam Lanza terrorized Sandy Hook Elementary school killing 20 children between the ages of 6 and 7 and 6 adults.
According to NBC 4 News, a Shenandoah County officer said,"He made general statements about school safety and safety awareness, but the reality was, it was disruptive."
Reportedly, Johnson walked through the unlocked front door of the school and headed straight to the Principal's office without making any encounters with the students, according to the Northern Virginia Daily.
Maj. Scott Proctor, Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office explained that no one was injured and no weapons were found on him, "We don't know his intentions, but it did seem to be related to bringing awareness to school safety," Proctor told the Northern Virginia Daily. "That's going to be confirmed through the course of the investigation."
