Four people were shot and killed in Pennsylvania in a shooting spree that has left one woman, two men, and the gunman dead. Authorities said that the shooting spree began several miles in Frankstown Township before ending on the Pennsylvania rural road.

According to the NY Times, several state troopers pursued the chase down the rural road and were fired at. The officers then proceeded to shoot back at the unknown gunman in order to protect themselves, in which three state troopers were injured before killing the gunman.

According to the Denver Post, Blair County's District Attorney Rich Consiglio reported that one officer was hit in the chest, but was protected by a bullet proof vest. The other officer was injured when the police car's windows was shot out as the third trooper crashed into the gunman's vehicle.

Pennsylvania schools in the rural area were put on lock down and the location is now cleared from any danger.
