Terra is a 6-year-old B-Girl hailing from the United Kingdom who completely demolished the competition during the Chelles Battle Pro "Baby Battle" in France this past Saturday. This specific competition during this break dancing event is meant to allow the competing teams to showcase some of their younger talents that should fans can look forward to in the future. Terra (or "Dora the Destroyer" as a YouTube commenter has labeled her) is a member of the Soul Mavericks crew.
From the looks of it, it seems like the "Baby Battle" allows any and all competitors up to 11-years of age (according to the available dancer profile information on the website). So, yes, Terra was the youngest dancer. The "Baby Battle" is definitely a fun event during the tournament, but it was more of a cute way to pass the time. That is, until now. Clearly the other dancers in the videos (that we have provided below) are incredibly gifted but it is just astonishing to watch Terra. She has a definite stage presence and a general flair with all of her moves. Even when she completes her routines, she skips to her side of the stage. Terra did not win the competition but was awarded the title of "best dancer of the Baby Battle."
Just to make things clear: Jstyles won the battle, but Terra got a special prize from the jury (and the crowd) #CBP2013

Anyway, ENJOY:
One of the best things that you can take away from these videos (besides the fact that this 6-year-old girl is incredible at break dancing) is the respect and the good sportsmanship displayed during these "battles." Sure the dances themselves involve taunts and gestures towards the opposing side, but at the end of each you get to see them come together and embrace. Even during the Terra's routine in the first video above, the challenger, Leelou of The Ruggeds, motions for the crowd to pay attention to what she is doing. In a world plagued by bullying during adolescence, it is just nice to see an activity that promotes comradery.
What did you think of Terra's dance moves? Is all of this hype worth it? How do you see her progressing in her field? Did she peak too soon? Like WAY too soon? Personally I can see myself checking back in on Terra's career over the years. I really hope she sticks with it. Plus the hype around this story is great for the break dancing community. This is a lot of positive attention for the B-Boy and B-Girl culture.
