Kyrie Irving & Andrea Wilson Welcome Daughter, Azurie Elizabeth

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving is now a father. MStars News has learned that the basketball star and the former Texas beauty queen he got pregnant, Andrea Wilson, welcomed their daughter Azurie Elizabeth on Monday.

According to Bleacher Report, Irving revealed the news via Instagram. He also noted that be baby girl was named after his mother, Elizabeth, who died at the age of 29-years-old, around 19 years ago, from an infection also known as Sepsis Syndrome, and organ failure.

Azurie Elizabeth Irving was born on Monday, Nov. 23. Her proud father revealed in Instagram message that it took "35 hours of labor" to welcome his daughter into the world. Irving also praised his baby mama, Wilson, and called her a "great mother."

The basketball star said that his daughter "came into the world to bring a shine to my world that I never thought was possible." He added, "I love you so much, and my heart grew the first time I felt your heart against mine. Mommy, I gave her your name because I know you will bless her and our family the same way you blessed me. I love you."

Besides being on father duties, the 23-year-old is currently recovering from a fractured kneecap that happened at the 2015 NBA Finals.

Before his baby girl was born, Irving wanted to get a paternity test done to make sure he was indeed the father of Wilson's baby. Sources claimed that the Miss Texas United States 2010 and the basketball player have been dating since 2013 but they have recently parted ways.

Hopefully the birth of their daughter can rekindle their broken relationship or either they learn to co-parent in a decent manner.

Congrats to both of the parents! This is sure to be a Happy Thanksgiving for the new edition in the family.
