49-year-old actress Lisa Rinna was sitting in for Kathie Lee Gifford on Monday's episode of "Today" when co-host Hoda Kotb decided to ask her about a subject Rinna is always asked to talk about: her lips. Rinna is currently on "Celebrity Apprentice" and has had a long career in soap operas and television movies. She is a self-described lip injection "pioneer," so when Hoda asked, "Wait, can I ask about your lips?" Rinna obliged, and summarized the whole story.

"Here's the story: 25 years ago, I had my lips injected with silicone. Stupid thing to do at 24. I saw 'Beaches.' Remember that movie 'Beaches'? I did it with my best girlfriend, so she and I go and we get our lips done. Fine. I have it like that for my whole career, right? So then cut to a couple of years ago, I have a doctor remove as much as they possibly can because it got to the point where they were yucky. You know, they get hard. It's gross. They are now whatever that was after they took out as much of the silicone as they could."

It might seem like she has some "injectors remorse," but Lisa is happy with her plastic surgery past. Rinna says she would not change a thing. She added:

"I never had a career before I had the lips. So my lips have had their own career."

What do you think of Rinna's lips? Are they the reason she has a career? What about the rest of her plastic surgery? She did not address the other procedures (though she wasn't asked about them), but do you think they helped her career as well?

Check out this clip from Rinna's appearance on "Today" and her response to Hoda (skip to 3:15 for the "Lips" discussion):
