Golden Globes: Aziz Ansari's Jeffrey Tambor Joke Stole the Category?

Comedian Aziz Ansari might not have won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, but it's very well possible that he may have stolen the awards show altogether with his joke about Transparent star Jeffrey Tambor.

Ansari, who starred in and created Netflix's Master of None, was up against the likes of Tambor for Transparent, Mozart in the Jungle's Gael Garcia Bernal, Patrick Stewart for Blunt Talk and Rob Lowe for his performance in The Grinder. As the names of the nominees were being read, the camera cut to Ansari, who was reading a book titled Losing to Jeffrey Tambor with Dignity.

And while he didn't lose to Jeffrey Tambor (Gael Garcia Bernal actually won), he did indeed lose with dignity.

Ansari's Golden Globes joke is just one of many that appears to be swirling around the headlines today. More include Leonardo DiCaprio's eyebrow raise towards American Horror Story's Lady Gaga when she went to the stage to receive her Golden Globe, host Ricky Gervais' joke about Caitlyn Jenner, Ricky Gervais' joke about Mel Gibson, Ricky Gervais' joke about Ben Affleck, Ricky Gervais' joke about Kevin Hart and Ken Jeong, and...

Okay, you get the point.

Moreover, there were several awkward moments from the Golden Globes that undboutedly made them headline-worthy. Check out our list of weird moments here, which, surprisingly, hold only two from Ricky Gervais.
