'Scream Queens' Panel Announced at PaleyFest 2016; What This Means For Season 2!

The first batch of panels for the 2016 PaleyFest in Los Angeles was announced today, and it's good news for Scream Queens fans: the show will have a panel on the first Saturday of the annual television festival. The news bodes well for the show, which hasn't officially been renewed for season 2.

All of the fan favorites will be in attendance for the festival, also known as the William S. Paley Television Festival, such as: Emma Roberts (Chanel Oberlin), Jamie Lee Curtis (Dean Cathy Munsch), Lea Michele (Hester Ulrich), Abigail Breslin (Chanel #5), Skyler Samuels (Grace Gardner), Keke Palmer (Zayday Williams), Billie Lourd (Chanel #3), and Niecy Nash (Officer Denise Hemphill).

No word on what will be discussed in the panel, but at shows in the past creator Ryan Murphy (who is not confirmed yet for PaleyFest) has dished multiple juicy tidbits. Back in October of last year, Murphy told the crowd at the New York City Fan Fright Fest that only a handful of characters would survive to season 2. He also revealed that a male pop star was interested in joining the show, among other things.

And although Scream Queens hasn't officially been given the go-ahead for another season, several things are pointing to a greenlight.

Besides Murphy's comments, there's the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance on the show. Even though she didn't win, the recognition speaks well for the show.

Now, with a panel at PaleyFest in the works, things are looking up for Scream Queens even more. The first season ended in December, so it seems odd to have a presence at a TV festival in March if the show ultimately has no future. Perhaps the reason an announcement has yet to be made is due to the fact that the cast and crew are waiting to announce at the festival?

Looks like we'll have to wait until March 12 at 7 p.m. PST to find out for sure!
