The rumor that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are adopting their seventh child, a boy from Cambodia, is false. It has been confirmed by the Cambodian government that the celebrity couple is not adding a child from the country to their already large family.

Reports started circulating a few days ago that Jolie and Pitt were expanding their family by adopting another son. The rumor was that the couple was going to adopt Allouy Shoun, one of 13 children in the Shoun family. However a spokesperson for the government confirmed to Phnom Penh Post newspaper that the rumor was completely false. The couple has not contacted the ICAA, Inter-Country Adoption Association, which must happen for any adoption to be approved. The bigger point of proof is that since 2001, America has suspended adoptions from the country due to trafficking issues. Yes, Jolie did adopt son Maddox from there in 2002, but the actress had to fight to get it deemed lawful.

Although the A-list couple is not adding to their family, they did form a bond with the Shoun family and most recently saw them while Jolie was filming the movie, First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers there. The actress is not starring in the film, which is about surviving the Khmer regime where nearly two million Cambodians died, she is actually directing with the help of her son Maddox. She announced last summer that the two would work on this film together.

The Hollywood family did donate clothes and bikes to the Shoun family. There are photos of Shiloh and Zahara with donations for the Shouns. It would seem that the Jolie and Pitt's daughters have a charitable side just like their mother. According to reports, the father of the Shoun family has revealed that they have known the Jolie-Pitt family for a while.

There are constant rumors floating around about the Bye The Sea co-stars but the adopting rumor can officially be squashed.
