With production of Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil underway, Netflix has plans for Season 2 of Marvel's Jessica Jones. Will Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Trish "Pasty" Walker aka Hellcat (Rachael Taylor) top its ratings by 5 million viewers?

As we previously mentioned, Jessica Jones (Ritter) suffers from post-traumatic stress due to her dark times with Kilgrave (David Tennant). As the sole owner of Alias Private Investigations, Jessica is drawn to a mysterious man, Luke Cage (Colter) who seems to hiding a secret of his own. Wanting revenge for what she did to him, Kilgrave is going to make those around Jones suffer, especially Trish (Taylor) before he finally confronts her face-to-face.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC Universal's Alan Wurtzel outed the viewership of several Netflix series . The data was gathered from a sample of 15,000 users from San Francisco tech firm Symphony. The freshmen season of Jessica Jones demonstrated an average 4.8 million viewers, in the adults 18-49 group, were watching each episode.

Wurtzel states, "Their business model is to make you write a check next month. So not every program on Netflix is a broad appeal program .... I don't believe there's enough stuff on Netflix that is broad enough and is consistent enough to effect us in a meaningful way on a regular basis."

As we mentioned before, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg discusses where the sophomore season fits into Marvel/Netflix's grand scheme, "The question becomes is there actual time? There are logistics involved, because Defenders has to shoot by a certain time, contractually. Actually, I'm not sure; I'm not at all involved in those conversations, much to my dismay. The first question is whether or not we will even get a second season. The second question is, if so, when? Will it be before The Defenders or after? I'd certainly love it to be before but there are things that play into that - time, availability."

Marvel's Jessica Jones continues to stream on Netflix.
