"Magic Mike" heartthrob Channing Tatum has fallen victim to the infamous online celebrity death hoax several times over the past few months - most bogus reports claim that the 32-year-old actor died in a tragic Switzerland snowboarding accident. The latest Channing Tatum "death report" that's gone viral on the web takes a rather amusing turn, however. The hashtag "R.I.P. Channing Tatum" began re-trending on Twitter earlier this week, claiming that the "Step Up" hottie died in a violent LA car crash on Wednesday, March 20. But when fans scroll down to view the Twitpic attached to the unfortunate tweet, they're met with the simple message, "Retweet to scare some bit##es." PRANKED!

Lil Wayne "death scare" rumors and rekindled "RIP Adam Sandler" reports began circulating on the web earlier this week, prompting morbid "Channing Tatum dead" searches to resurface on several popular social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook. As Mstars originally reported, here's the bogus Channing Tatum obit posted by the infamous prank website Global Associated News back in September which instigated all the mayhem:

"Actor Channing Tatum is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - March 22, 2013 (obviously the site generates fake up-to-the-date deaths).

The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Channing Tatum lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.

Channing Tatum was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

Although an outdated cyber death hoax, several fans fell for the fake obit yet AGAIN this week - prompting this rather humorous message to begin trending on Twitter:

"RIP Channing Tatum: 4/26/80 - 3/20/13 at 6:20am PST in a car crash in LA. It has been confirmed."

Along with the photo:

The Twitpic has spread all over Twitter, garnering hundreds of thousands views and shares.

So no, Tatum is NOT dead... apparently, fans shouldn't be such "scared bit##es" when confronted with such ridiculous death rumors.

Tatum is STILL alive and well.
