‘Quantico’ Star Priyanka Chopra Going to Star in ‘Baywatch’ Movie with Dwayne Johnson?

Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has made her name in India and the United States with splendid performances in Bajirao Mastani and Quantico. With Bajirao Mastani, Chopra won the hearts of her millions of fans and Quantico gave her a People's Choice Award. Now it is Chopra's turn to make her Hollywood debut in the Baywatch movie with Dwayne Johnson!

The original cast of Baywatch included Nicole Eggert, Pamela Anderson, Alexandra Paul and David Charvet. According to Hindustan Times, Chopra would be joining 17 Again star Zac Efron and Johnson in the big screen adaptation of the '90s TV series.

Chopra is currently in talks for the films that will center on the leader of an elite group of lifeguards (Johnson) who will be forced to team up with a hot-shot former Olympian (Efron) to save their bay. It is not yet confirmed which role will be offered to Chopra as the famous CJ Parker's role (played by Anderson) is already signed by model Kelly Rohrbach.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the scheduling conflicts with Baywatch's shoot and Chopra's prior commitment with Quantico still need to be sorted out but the media giant confirmed that the actress would play the role of an antagonist.

In Dec. 2015, Johnson posted a picture of Chopra Twitter with the caption, "World Domination."

To which the 33-year-old actress replied: "World domination all the way @TheRock. Keep paving the way." Johnson then replied, "I know you're right there w/me PC...:"

Chopra's reply came quickly. "I so am."

With this conversation, it looks like that Chopra has already started befriending the star cast of her first Hollywood project.

It was announced in Sept. 2012 by Vulture that Reno 911! co-creator and star Robert Ben Garant will direct the film version of Baywatch for Paramount Pictures.

Chopra will soon be seen as a badass cop in Prakash Jha's upcoming action thriller film, Jai Gangaajal. The film is slated to release on March 4, 2016.
