‘Daily Show’s’ Trevor Noah on Donald Trump's Religion: “Has No Idea What He’s Talking About”

Republican hopeful Donald Trump recently made a stopover at Liberty University to: 1) give a speech to a number of evangelical Christians, and 2) try and convince them that he's actually a religious guy. And while his speech hit a number of pious points, The Daily Show host Trevor Noah thinks Trump is merely putting on an act.

(Which may or may not describe politics in general.)

Noah's confession is that Trump hasn't a clue about religion, blatantly calling out the current GOP frontrunner and noting that Trump "has no idea what he's talking about."

Naming Liberty University as "the Christian college that conservatives must speak at when they're trying to get elected president," Noah showed a clip of Trump pandering to the evangelicals in the audience, delivering his standard boast about his book The Art of the Deal, which, as he says, is his second favorite book to The Bible.

And despite claiming that "everybody" has read The Art of the Deal—"a deep, deep second to The Bible"—it looks like more people at Liberty U actually read God's book.

Sorry, Donald.

Trump then picked out a passage within The Bible – from "Second Corinthians" and not "Two Corinthians," by the way – and proceeded to equate it somehow to his campaign.

"As I'm sure the crowd at Liberty University can tell you," Noah ended his segment with, "it is easier to pass a camel through the eye of a needle than it is to try and pull that sh*t off in front of Bible students."

So, folks, is Donald Trump a religious man?
