Celine Dion’s Husband’s Death: Son Rene-Charles Having “Difficult” Time

It's been one week since the world learned that Celine Dion's husband, Rene Angelil, died from throat cancer, and it appears the couple's eldest son, Rene-Charles, is having a "difficult" time with his father's death.

According to People, a source close to the family claimed that Dion's 14-year-old is taking Angelil's death the hardest because he's a teenager and understands what's actually going on with his family more than his five-year-old twin brothers, Eddy and Nelson.

"René-Charles being a teenager has had a more difficult time with the situation than the twins, who are so young," the source explained.

Dion and her late husband's son will turn 15 years old just a few days after his father his laid to rest. MStars News previously learned that the music manager's funeral is scheduled for this Friday, January 22 at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.

The church is also the same place Dion and Angelil exchanged their wedding vows in 1994.

Happy Birthday René-Charles! Celine and René’s eldest son and big brother to Nelson and Eddy, René-Charles turns fourteen years old today!

Despite her grieving, Dion is trying to remain strong for her children, the singer's stylist, Annie Horth, claimed, "I know Celine truly believes that he will eternally be with her and with the kids through everything."

Dion's husband died a few days before his birthday last week after battling throat cancer for years. The Las Vegas singer also lost her brother, Daniel Dion, just two days after her husband died. The 59-year-old also lost his battle with cancer. His funeral is set for Monday, January 25 at the Saint-Simon-et-Jude Church in Charlemagne, a suburb of Montreal, Canada.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dion family during their time of grief.
