Kordell Stewart and Porsha Stewart Divorce Update: 'RHOA' Star 'Misled' by NBA Star, Found Out About Divorce From Media

The curse of the Housewives?  Another Housewife is slammed with divorce papers!  Real Housewife of Atlanta newbie, Porsha Stewart said she was "disappointed" by her husband former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart's decision to file for divorce March 22.

Porsha spoke out for the first time through her publicist Wednesday, stating that she wanted to save her marriage.

Porsha claims via her rep that Kordell promised to work on their marriage with her, and that she was 'misled', finding out about the divorce from the media, according to TMZ.

Tuesday, news broke that Kordell filed for divorce from his wife of nearly two years, then rumors of a possible pre-nup leaked, contradicting Porsha's alleged claims to co-star Kandi Buress, that she "didn't sign" a pre-nup.

Fans may have thought there were rocky roads ahead for the Stewarts when Kordell tweeted March 15 that he would be skipping out on the RHOA Season 5 Reunion.

He tweeted to his more than 200,000 followers:

"#RHOA Reunion I had other obligations booked wks prior to #RHOA submitting taping schedule & cannot participate. #Support @PorshaDStewart."

The Stewarts were new to the RHOA cast.  On the show, Porsha and Kordell discussed having children, and Porsha revealed her dreams of being a mom with a "nanny," much to Kordell's disapproval.

As the Stewart divorce drama unfolds; "Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith," Porsha's publicist wrote in a statement according to TMZ.
