Coen Brothers' 'Hail Caesar' Clip: Channing Tatum Goes Gene Kelly As Singing-Dancing Sailor!

The Coen brothers' newest film, Hail, Caesar, is near its premiere, and the classic Hollywood-themed musical comedy starring George Clooney looks all kinds of fun. In the most recently released clips, Channing Tatum showcases his singing and dancing talents by channeling the likes of Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra in On The Town!

According to MTV, the latest clip from the upcoming Joel and Ethan Coen movie has the Magic Mike star carrying a tune to perfection as his movie star character looks dapper in a sailor uniform. On the clip, where he sings an original song called "No Dames" about how there are no ladies out at sea, his movie star character also tap dances to the beat, like Channing has shown he can.

This is the first time Channing shows off his pipes in film, and by the sound of it, this won't be the last time we see the handsome actor in a musical!

Channing recently spoke to People Magazine about his role in the movie, which will be on theaters starting this week.

"Burt is the kind of an actor who has an outfit for everything," Tatum said about his Hollywood superstar character. "He has his eating-dinner outfit, his soul lives in his hair. I think he's kind of a moron. A lot of the actors in this movie are portrayed as morons, which I think is hilarious."

Of course, a film about "morons" wouldn't be uncharted territory for the Coens, considering it's the same duo who created Burn After Reading.

Hail, Caesar! stars Josh Brolin in the role of Eddie Mannix, a "Hollywood fixer" from the 1950's whose job is to clean up the messes big stars make ... but things get a little more complicated when Cary Grant-like character Baird Whitlock (Clooney) vanishes. The film seems to be a homage/parody on those big 50's period productions by Cecil B. DeMille.
