'The Simpsons' Search Engine, Frinkiac, is Google for Springfield Stills & Quotes

The Simpsons has been on air for 26 years and 27 seasons, so at this point the Springfield residents have covered just about every topic possible in human interaction. That means there's a moment from the show applicable to just about any situation. Because of this, someone created an alternate search engine called Frinkiac, a search engine dedicated to matching stills and quotes from the TV show instead of searching all topics like Google.

According to Wired, the new project, which was launched earlier this week and is still in development, so far has a database of 15 Simpsons seasons as well as three million searchable stills, for every major occasion you want to celebrate by throwing in some yellow cartoon folks.

Named in honor of Springfield's mad scientist Professor Frink, Frinkiac collects every single quote from the first 15 years of the show, pairing it with the precise screenshot of the scene where it happened, which will make having conversations on instant messaging services solely through Simpsons references endlessly easier.

"We had the idea several years ago when we were quoting The Simpsons at each other all day long, and it was surprisingly difficult to find an image of the scenes we were quoting on Google," Sean Schulte, one of the co-creators of Frinkiac alongside Paul Kehrer and Allie Young, told Wired.

Although the trio had been talking about the possibility of making an all-encompassing search engine revolving around the show's many quotable moments, it wasn't until about six months ago that they finally decided to go through with the site.

After finding the image/quote that fills your current needs, there's an option to "meme it" in the show's official font, which will be displayed on a new screen, and you can edit it to suit your particular situation. For now, you can't share your results on social media directly, but that's coming, as well as a few more tweaks and hopefully the rest of the show's seasons.
