Rocky Handsome star, John Abraham and Akira actress Sonakshi Sinha have teamed up for the first time in Force 2. The makers of the film wanted to shoot a major portion of the film in China, but the Chinese Government has denied permission to the production team.

In 2011 Bollywood filmmaker Nishikanth Kamth directed Force, the remake of Gautham Menon's super hit 2003 Tamil film, Kaakha Kaakha. The story followed a dutiful cop who chases and captures a dreadful gangster. According to IBN Live, the first schedule of shooting started from Sept. 2015 and in the film, Sinha will be seen playing the role of a RAW agent.

According to India Today, the story of Force 2 revolves around the different intelligence agencies from around the world, including India's primary intelligence agency RAW and the ministry of state security (Chinese Intelligence Agency). Due to the sensitive matter and the subject of the film, the Chinese Government denied permission. The director was quoted by Mid-Day as responding:

"The Chinese government refused to give us permission to shoot there due to the film's subject. We are still trying (to convince them) although I don't think they will agree. So, we are also trying to figure out an alternate location. The sequel will be a step ahead from the first film (Force, 2011). We have shot some good action sequences in the first schedule."

Meanwhile, Abraham's Rocky Handsome is slated to release in Feb. 2016. The film is an official adaptation of a famous South Korean film, The Man From Nowhere, which is critically acclaimed for its astounding and stylish action sequences. The film follows the story of a young civilian, who has a dark past and now shares a unique bond with an 8-year-old girl. The entire story swirls around the man and his chase to find the mafia who have kidnapped that young girl along with her drug addicted mother.
