5 Easter Eggs From Grant Gustin, Danielle Panabaker's The Flash Season 2 Episode 13 On CW!
The CW Network continues with Season 2 of The Flash. In Episode 13, this the perfect opportunity to check the Easter Eggs hidden behind Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Iris West (Candice Patton) and their new opponent, Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd).
In our recent recap, Barry traveled to Earth-2 alongside Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes). Disguised as his doppelgänger, Barry discovered his counterpart was married to Iris, his mother still alive and married to his father. Meanwhile, Joe West (Jesse L. West) needed Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears)'s help against a metahuman named Geomancer. But danger lurked nearby as Killer Frost (Panabaker) and Deathstorm (Robbie Amell) attacked, starting off the death count.
Check out the 5 Easter Eggs we spotted in Welcome To Earth-2 here:
5) The Flash Phone!
Who knew the scarlet speedster has the personal phone numbers of the DC superheroes? On his speed dial, we saw the names of Hal Jordan (Green Lantern), Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Diana (Wonder Woman). In the DC Universe, the Dark Knight has respect for Barry, a man of science, because of his CSI skills and intelligence. Eddie refers to Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), who's still alive in Earth-2. How about that call between Barry and his mother? I'm not crying, you're crying!
4) The Flash/Supergirl Crossover
As we previously mentioned, the scarlet speedster will be showing on on CBS' Supergirl in March. When Barry carried Cisco and Harrison into the speed cannon, viewers saw glimpses into alternate timelines and different dimensions. There was footage of Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) flying in the sky. Does this mean Barry is going to Earth-3? It was also nice of the show to acknowledge John Wesley Shipp's The Flash series as its own reality.
3) Mayor Snart!?!
In the DC Universe, Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold switches sides as he moves from super-villain to anti-hero. Wentworth Miller has done a great job as Snart in both The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Question is, which Snart is actually the Mayor of Central City? Could it be Leonard Snart or Lisa Snart (Peyton List)?
2) The Man Has Some Singing Chops!
Before Law & Order, actor Jesse L. Martin starred on Broadway in the musical Rent. The X-Files actor even reprised his Tom Collins role in the Chris Columbus movie adaptation. Earth-2 Joe West sings two songs in the episode, the second one is My Funny Valentine.
1) Game of Thrones!
Towards the climatic finale of Welcome To Earth-2, The Flash suddenly became an episode Game of Thrones! Not only is Zoom scary with the voice of Tony Todd (Candyman), he means business. Killer Frost warned them but they didn't listen. Zoom saved Barry's life as he killed Deathstorm (Amell) and Reverb (Valdes).
The Flash continues Season 2 on Tuesdays at 8/7c.
