Created by Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal (Hercules), USA Network aired their sci-fi hit drama, Colony. This is the perfect opportunity to check up on Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie Bowman (Sarah Wayne Callies) as they live beyond the wall in episode 1 through 5.

As we previously mentioned, Colony is set in the near future of Los Angeles. The city of angels now exists in a state of occupation by a force of outside intruders. There are some people who actually choose to collaborate with the extraterrestrial authorities and benefit from the new order. There are also others who rebel against the system and suffer the consequences. Will Bowman (Holloway) and his wife, Katie (Callies) struggle to keep their family together in this new world.

Check out our 5 thoughts on the first five episodes of Colony:

5) Sci-Fi At Its Smartest!

In our MStars News Interview, the Lost actor described the themes behind the pilot, "t's saying a lot of things. It's saying what is right? It depends on the situation. Who would you save? Would you save your humanity or your children? It's asking these big moral questions. You either collaborate and rationalize. Or do you resist and suffer the consequences? It's a whole world of things that happen; the situations and the pressure."

4) A Twisted Cop Show If You Ever Saw One!

In A Brave New World, viewers find themselves in a police procedural as Will is given his assignment, meets the chief named Phyllis (Kathy Baker), and gets a new partner Beau (Carl Weathers). Hell, there's even a chase sequence along the way! In order to get his son back, Will has to find a way to take down the rebellion. But he doesn't even realize his own wife, Katie, is working undercover for the rebels!

3) An Alien Show With No Aliens!

98 Seconds refers to the amount of time it takes for the military police to swarm in, along with their drones. When a crowd of thieves swarmed over the crime scene, the drones started humming loudly, zapping people in the back. This was the first time we saw the alien technology action. Then the sci-fi element goes away, as Katie gets all hot and sexy as she rips off Will's shirt and screws him in the bathroom. Damn, Callies and Holloway have chemistry together!

2) The Death Count Starts!

In Blind Spot, The last thing Phyllis (Baker) said to Katie was, "You're working for me now." When she returned home, Phyllis wasn't expecting to see Broussard (Tory Kittles) standing in front of her, with his gun aimed at her. After asking him to kill her husband, Broussard shot Phyllis point-black and then went after the man she loved!

1) He's A Very Bad Man!

In Geronimo, Proxy Snyder (Peter Jacobson) promised if the prisoner pretended to be the rebellion mastermind, he would be set free. Unfortunately, Snyder went back on his deal and decided to make a statement out of him. Snyder ordered the prisoner's death by hanging. Will Snyder go back on his deal with Will?

Colony continues Thursdays 10pm on USA Network.
