Sara Stokes is gearing up for a fight. The former Da Band star is preparing to sue BET after she filmed a new show called From The Bottom Up.

According to TMZ, the inspiring singer was approached by BET's production team while she was in the Saint Clair County Jail in Michigan. The network apparently influenced her to be apart of a new television series showcasing the some aspects of her life. Her story didn't turn out the way she had planned, and now she is working on a lawsuit.

Stokes was apparently promised the chance to give her side of the story about her marital issues with her husband, legal troubles and her rise to fame after Making The Band 2. The new reality show produced by Queen Latifah, allegedly threw Stokes under the bus and portrayed her to be a "man beater."

Stokes' legal team is now working on a case against the network claiming that they damaged her reputation for their own gain.

From The Bottom Up is a about five women who appear to have it all but then hit rock bottom after having failing relationships, among other things.

MStars News previously learned that Stokes was arrested back in 2014 for domestic violence. Stokes and her husband, Tony were caught by police fighting outside. At that time the singer had to serve jail time for violating probation from another domestic dispute.
