Fox's '24: Legacy' Cast: Corey Hawkins Adds Ashley Thomas/Isaac Carter In Jack Bauer Spinoff
The clock will be ticking again as Fox plans a spinoff from their popular 24 franchise. Taking over for ex-CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), in the latest cast news, Ashley Thomas joins Corey Hawkins as Isaac Carter in the highly anticipated spinoff 24: Legacy.
As we previously mentioned, Fox is developing a 24 spinoff, which would revolve around a new twenty-something male terrorist hunter. The spinoff will follow the traditional 24 format, each episode represents an hour of a single day. Manny Coto and Evan Katz will serve as writers and executive producers. Fox will most likely launch the spinoff as a limited 12 episode series, much like Live Another Day. Because he is in talks to serve as executive producer, Sutherland will most likely return in a cameo.
We also mentioned, the Straight Outta Compton actor will portray Eric Carter. A strong and smart former Army Ranger, Carter (Hawkins) suddenly finds himself pulled back into action. His past comes looking for him in unexpected ways. Eric eventually turns to CTU for help in saving his life. With the clock ticking, Carter has to stop one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.
According to TV Line, the Black Mirror actor has landed himself a a series regular role. Isaac Carter (Thomas) happens to be Eric's older brother. The brotherly siblings happen to be odds with each other because they're still angry about their bitter past. Eric is now married to Isaac's former girlfriend, Nicole (Anna Diop). (Seriously, that's like wrong, man. he's your brother!)
The Hollywood Reporter adds, Zayne Emory (Kickin' It) has earned himself a recurring role on the show too. Drew Phelps (Emory), a junior at Marshall High School, who has a crush on Amira. Known for his work on Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Child, Stephen Hopkins will direct the pilot.
The 24 spinoff is currently in its pilot stages.
