Are Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, pregnant? On Wednesday the singer shocked fans when she revealed the reason she canceled her Unbreakable world tour. Jackson said she and Al Mana were putting the tour on pause to "plan their family."

In a Twitter message, an all-smiles Jackson said: "On August 31, as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable world tour. First, I just want to thank all the fans for coming out and seeing the show. Thank you so much -- you guys made it so enjoyable for me each and every night."

She continued: "We're in the second leg of the tour, and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family. So I'm going to have to delay the tour."

Knowing that this has likely upset a lot of ticketholders, Jackson said her doctors have told her to take it easy, and she asked for fans' understanding. "Please, if you can try and understand it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders," she said. "I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

She thanked her crew, dancers and band members. She also shouted out to Live Nation for its support and also thanked all of her fans again.

After that bombshell, Jackson became quite a trending topic.  People wanted to know if Jackson, 49 -- she'll be 50 in May -- was pregnant or planning to become pregnant, or if the couple was planning to use a surrogate.

Jackson and her billionaire businessman husband tied the knot  in 2012.
