Season 5 of Person of Interest returns to premiere on CBS for the last time. This is the perfect opportunity to check up on Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), John Reese (Jim Caviezel), Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi), Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman) and Root (Amy Acker) before their last episodes.

As we previously mentioned, from the beginning, former billionaire Harold Finch (Emerson) and ex CIA operative John Reese (Caviezel) raced against the clock to prevent violent crimes before they could happen. With the help of the artificial intelligence known as The Machine, they managed to save innocent lives right when their numbers popped up. But they never expected to go up against an even greater threat known as Samaritan.

We have 5 reasons and 2 bonus points why you should watch the Person of Interest Season 5 premiere:

5) Who's Still Alive?!?

Though Control (Camryn Manheim) thought she had the upper-hand, she was actually being played the entire time by Samaritan. Control's head was wrapped in a black bag as she was taken to a hole where no one could ever find her. Fusco saw mob boss Elias (Enrico Colantoni) being shot down by Samaritan's agents. Could he still be alive?

4) Where's Shaw?!?

At the end of If-The-Else, Shaw (Shahi) sacrificed herself to save the team after kissing Root (Acker). Did you notice in the fourth season finale, Shaw looked like she was willingly walking away with Samaritan's agents? Has Shaw turned to the dark side?

Bonus:

And did it look like Shaw and Root are getting in on in the extended trailer? Is it me or is it getting hot in here?

3) That Cliffhanger!

The fourth season finale,YHWH, concluded with Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine playing in the background. With no gun whatsoever, Finch walked out in slow motion alongside Reese and Root as they started shooting down Samaritan's agents. Finch had a briefcase with a blinking light, signifying the Machine's fading heartbeat. How the hell do you top this scene?

2) The Last Episodes!

CBS will air Person of Interest twice a week. On Mondays and Tuesdays, viewers will catch an episode at 10pm, starting in early May.The series finale is slated for Tuesday, June 21. Fans of POI will have to make each episode count!

1) How Does It End?

Who will survive in the fifth season finale? Will Finch and Reese end up dead? Is this the kind of show that will go that far?

Bonus:

In our MStars News interview, Emerson revealed what he wants to audience to come away with from the fifth season, "I would just like them to be entertained. I would like them to have fun and have some laughs, and white knuckle the living room chair for a while, and come away from it with something to talk about"

Season 5 of Person of Interest will premiere on CBS Tuesday, May 3 at 10pm.

Readers, which episode are you excited to see POI return?
