'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Set Photos Leak with Tom Holland as Web Slinger

After Tom Holland's widely beloved turn as everyone's favorite web-slinging superhero in Captain America: Civil War, it's clear the young British actor is the Peter Parker fans deserve, and his stand-alone movie sounds better and better. Days after filming for Spider-Man: Homecoming began, the first photos from the set have already been leaked!

Not long after production started for the new reboot of Peter Parker's story, Looper managed to shoot a few snaps of Holland in costume at the Atlanta, Georgia set. Even though the city is currently going through terrifyingly hot summer temperatures of 100 Fahrenheit, the actor has been filming scenes for the past few days, shooting for about 12 hours daily and doing a lot of stunt work -- and inside a full-body superhero suit.

While the scenes the cameras caught will probably be completed with CGI, it's obvious Holland is really doing his job when it comes to enduring training and shoots like an Avenger.

The actor arrived at the Atlanta set on June 27 to film two different scenes: a bus one where he and the rest of his high school take a road trip to D.C., and a second scene where he jumps into a truck and does a lot of stunt work.

He seems to be wearing a costume slightly different from the one on Civil War, so probably Tony Stark has been tweaking the outfit a little bit, much like he usually does with the rest of the Avengers.

Every week there's more news regarding the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Returning from Civil War are Holland in the web slinger role, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Oscar winner Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Other big names in the film include comedian Hannibal Buress, Disney Channel actress Zendaya, Community alum Donald Glover and former Batman actor Michael Keaton, who's set to play a still-undisclosed villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After years of discussions between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, the character of Spider-Man finally made it to the MCU on this year's Civil War, and the characterization has been loved by fans and critics all over the world. It's the third live-action iteration of Spidey in the past 20 years: it was played by Tobey Maguire in three films and Andrew Garfield in two others, and it'd definitely feel like too much if Holland weren't so outstanding in the role.

Spider-Man: Homecoming reaches theaters on July 7, 2017.
