While it might have been over a year since Rosie O'Donnell's exit from The View, new reports are coming out regarding her alleged drama with Whoopi Goldberg, which included new co-host Sunny Hostin.

It doesn't seem like fans can go one season without hearing that there is some drama on the set of the series. The hit ABC daytime talk show seems to have been marred with backstage tension and rumors of feuds for the last couple of years. Not only that but the revolving door of co-hosts also doesn't help to dispel the gossip.

According to Radar Online, Hostin's name was thrown into the ring to become a member of the cast back when O'Donnell was still on the program, but she was soon replaced by someone else before she even starred on the show.

"Sunny was the choice before Rosie O'Donnell picked Lauren Sanchez," an insider revealed to the news site. "That's what knocked Sunny out of position."

Well this didn't sit so well with Goldberg, and supposedly, according to the source close to the show, this is what led her and O'Donnell to get into a feud.

"Rosie and Whoopi went to war, Lauren wasn't the choice anymore and Sunny was still waiting," the insider continued. "Then they decided to go with Raven [Symone]. It's been a mess of back and forth."

However, within the last year or so it seems that the show has started to lose some of the tension, and now that Hostin has joined the program, producers are hopeful that things will continue to get even better.

"Execs feel like they are at a place where there is a real reset on the show," a source explained. "They're not panicking anymore about the show tanking."

Also according to CNNMoney, Sara Haines and Jedediah Bila have also joined the talk show as contributors.

Hostin also shared the casting news on her Twitter page earlier this week, saying she can't wait to join the Season 20 cast.
