In an interview with The Advocate, Joel McHale, from "Community," revealed that he takes rumors that he is 'gay' as a compliment rather than getting offended by them.

The Advocate met with McHale to talk about the fourth season of  "Community," but they ended up talking more about the rumors concerning his personal life than the actual show itself.

"Oh, I still see that on Twitter every day. It's flattering," McHale told The Advocate.  "I always find it really weird when guys flip out over someone thinking they might be gay. If a guy gets offended by that, there's something's wrong with him. I take it as a compliment."

In the past, he told the magazine that people think he is gave because he is so well-dressed, usually seen wearing suits and button downs, according to The Huffington Post

But, he doesn't stress over it.  In fact, he seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing.  In his interview with The Advocate, he joked around about how to handle a situation in which a straight guy is getting hit-on by a gay guy.  "Just a very quick, courteous blow job," he responded.

Contrary to the insinuations, McHale is quite straight and has been happily married to Sarah Williams for 17 years and they have two kids, according to The Huffington Post.

However, he does admit to having some man-crushes.

"Ooh, boy, I have so many. Josh Gad. Brian Williams. Patrick Stewart. Nathan Fillion. Kobe Bryant. Chaz Bono... I'm not picky," he said in The Advocate interview.

The interview ended with the host of The Soup asking him why he used a butt double for his nude scene in "What's your number."  He responded saying, "Because they didn't give me any advance notice! All of a sudden on set they were like, 'Hey, you wanna do this?' No. You have to pay for this ass, my friend."
