Disney's announcement of the plans to produce their live-action sequels as to Tinker Bell, The Jungle Book and 'Maleficent 2' will now about to end the long-time fans had waited.

Screenwriter Linda Woolverton, on the other hand, will also return to write the script of 'Maleficent 2' just like what she did on the script of the first 'Maleficent,' as per USA Today.

The first 'Maleficent' movie was recorded as Angelina Jolie's highest grossing film which earned almost US$300 million in U.S. box office. Furthermore, 'Maleficent' grossed US$758 million at the global box office but then received middling reviews, as per The Guardian.

Up to this moment, Disney hasn't given the exact release date of the movie. Meanwhile, its original film was directed by Robert Stromberg, which fleshed out the tragic back story of the not-too-evil black fairy character of Angelina Jolie. It was then first introduced in the studio's 1959 animated musical 'Sleeping Beauty.'

Angelina's performance as fairy Maleficent was described by Peter Bradshaw as "vinegary touch of panto." He also added, "I'd forgotten what a menacing screen presence Jolie is. She is becoming the Sophia Loren of our age. Now I want to see her lead in a grown-up film."

Emma Watson will join the cast of Disney sequel soon to play as Disney villain Cruella de Vil. To recall, Cruella is the hound-hating star of the 101 Dalmatians movies and the title will be 'Cruella' itself.

Others are new versions of 'Tinkerbell' with Reese Witherspoon, 'Dumbo' with Director Tim Burton, 'Mary Poppins' with Emily Blunt, 'Beauty and the Beast' starring Emma Watson and 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' with Johnny Depp.

"I enjoyed it. I just feel like we purposefully did this one thoroughly and I don't think there'd be another." Angelina Jolie said in an interview after the surprise announcement of her comeback role in 'Maleficent 2' from Disney.
