Sylvester Stallone failed to get into the fifth original 'Rambo' film because its reboot is on its way for a release even without him as the original franchise star of the very popular Hollywood action film.

According to the Independent, "Rambo: New Blood," the continuation of the popular 80s action franchise, is being plotted by Nu Image/Millennium Films with its writer and director already on board working on the reboot. Reports said that the film is being penned by Brooks McLaren with Ariel Vroman, known as "The Iceman," in the director's chair.

The "Rambo" franchise started with the 1982 film 'First Blood' with Stallone as John Rambo, as per Collider. The series made its way up until its fourth installment in 2008. The upcoming reboot is seen to be offensive to Stallone, for he is not expected to star or even act in any sort of role despite being the face of the franchise throughout the series' 25 years.

The report further claimed that the reboot, nameed "Rambo: New Blood," is sort of similar to the original film with director Ariel Vromen. The John Rambo role is seen to be replaced eventually with a younger actor, with an eye towards future sequels.

Meanwhile, no plot details of the project were given just yet. However, the reboot, which is similar to the original "Rambo," will be facing issues on Vietnam War vets through a modern retelling of post-Vietnam War PTSD.

"Rambo: New Blood" will tackle controversial issues as PTSD and the horrors and necessities of war. Treatment of returning veterans will be the focus of the film, or else it will settle for simply being just another action-movie franchise.

Stallone was nominated for a multitude of awards following his appearances after "Rambo: First Blood." Rambo first appeared in David Morrel's 1972 novel of the same name before he got chances to star in Hollywood's big-screen films. For sure, Rambo fans will have something to say regarding this takeover.
