The long wait for the holiday update of the Xbox One is finally over. Microsoft has released the latest update which included Looking for Group, Group Messaging and emojis among others.

Roll out of the update  was out on November 10. The holiday update will be rolling out to both Xbox One consoles and Xbox App according to VG24/7.

Among the features added to Xbox One is Clubs. Clubs is Microsoft's version of a clan or a community where you may meet people interested in the same game. It is gamer-created in Xbox Live and unique just like a Gamertag. Anyone can create or join a club to set up parties, share content or play games.

Microsoft has extended the roll out of the Club functions to Xbox Apps for iOS, Android and Windows 10. Xbox One and Xbox Apps will now support Group messaging on Xbox Live.

Group messaging is another feature included in the update. This enables a gamer to coordinate with friends and other gamers easily and effectively. A gamer may now be sent to a everyone in a single conversation. The feature works on both Xbox One and Xbox Apps on Android, iOS and Windows10.

Emojis are also added for the Xbox One virtual keyboard. The emojis can be accessed on the virtual keyboard by pulling the left trigger.

The LFG (Looking for Group) feature was among the most requested update. This feature has been used for several years in gaming but Microsoft has their own take on it according to The Verge. LFG will allow gamers look for people to help complete a quest, achievements or other activities by posting in Xbox Live.

Gamers will be able to specify the requirements you are looking for in other players using LFG like the language to be used, number of people or game mode. It will also allow gamers to set rules and specify in-game requirements like player level or gear to insure that the gamer is given the right players to help in quests or activities.

The Achievement feature also has a new variation. When a player earns a rare Achievement there will be a special notification and a diamond icon to highlight it. The Gamerscore Leaderboard has also been improved on Xbox One and Xbox Apps on Windows 10. Players will now have a clean slate to compete at the start of each month because it now resets at the beginning of each month instead of the 30-day rolling period.
