'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Spoilers: EP Virgil Williams Confirms Thomas Gibson's Return?

"Criminal Minds" Season 12 will get to see Thomas Gibson's Aaron Hotchner once again as the series' writer and executive producer Virgil Williams revealed that he sees himself working with the actor in the future.

According to Morning News USA, the writer and co-executive producer of "Criminal Minds," Virgil Williams break his silence regarding his altercation with the 54-year-old actor Thomas Gibson during the set which resulted in Gibson's getting fired as Aaron Hotchner at the Season 11 of "Criminal Minds."

Williams mentioned the reason for the disagreement in the "Criminal Minds" Season 12 set. He said to the students who questioned him that the trouble started when Gibson came to him, wanting to change some lines.

"I felt that change of lines would have hurt the story," Williams said. "I tried to offer him a fix. He didn't accept the fix and said 'Fix it so I'm happy' and then he walked off."

Moreover, Williams also added that they had a second conversation with the same issue. This time, Gibson kicked him in the shin as he walked by. 

Though the issue resulted in a two-episode suspension for Gibson which eventually turned into a permanent exit, Williams admitted that he still see himself working with the actor in the future.

Meanwhile, Gibson's exit was announced by the ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios revealed that "Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from "Criminal Minds." Meanwhile, the creative details of Gibson's exit will be announced soon," reports TV Line.

On the other hand, Gibson gave another account of the incident and claimed that Williams started coming towards him and as he brushed past he tapped Williams on the leg.

On the contrary, to make things settle, Thomas Gibson answered all the allegations that he has kicked the writer Virgil Williams. "There were some creative differences on the set and a disagreement." Gibson also added, "I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team just to make the best show possible. We always have this in mind and always will."

"I love Criminal Minds and have placed my heart and soul into it for the past 12 years," Thomas Gibson said. "I had hoped to see it through to the end." As of now, the actor's return in "Criminal Minds" in the upcoming episodes is yet to be confirmed.
