Apple iPhone update is getting a little more nostalgic as Apple is said to be bringing back the idea of producing the foldable of flip phone again for another iPhone model.

According to Digital Trends, Apple would like people to see the creating a foldable phone isn't dead yet. And for this, the company has been granted a new patent for iPhone, which shows a design that it can be folded in half.

The said iPhone patent design can be gripped onto your clothes. This means that this might not need to put it in your pocket for the design is very compact. As per CNN Tech, this deign would be potentially cut down on the need to stuff device into pockets.

Meanwhile, this new design is allegedly showing a glimpse into what Apple is been thinking for the future. The said patent for the "flexible display devices" was said to be filed since 2014 at the month of July.

Since that the time, Apple is still thinking if the idea would be a big hit for the masses. Additionally, the "flexible display design" will feature a touchscreen smartphone with a design being popularized by clamshell phones.

The patent design even highlights the possibility of its screen to be flexible with OLED display. Its face could be bent or fit back-to-back. More so, it is said that the new design could be bend in thirds because its hinges can accommodate not just the typical folding design, but now it would be different from what people used to know.

Accordingly, the patent shows that the device could be folded and the device will show two screen halves touch each other. This would let half of the screen on either side of the outside of the device.

Consequently, the patent's details about how the new device would look like is not yet approved. Apple has just been granted a patent, but that doesn't mean that it will ever be release to the market.

Hopefully, Apple iPhone update will release the said flexible design patent soon, for Samsung has been long working for this and rumors claim that it will finally release in 2017. Likewise, LG is doing the same thing for a flexible phone model. hone with "Flexible Display Design" Patent!?
