Digimon World: Next Order is about to get an international release. Given the title Digimon World: Next Order International Edition, it is expected to hit the Western market early 2017.

The International Edition, made as a Playstation 4 exclusive, is an update of the Japan-only game released for the Playstation Vita on January 2016. As announced on Shueisha's V Jump magazine for January 2017, the European release is scheduled for January 27th, while January 31st will be the date the Americas will get the game. These games will be playable with several different languages, including English and Japanese dubs and English, French and Spanish for subtitles. Anime News Network adds that the American release also has the distinction of being available for the Playstation digital store, as well as retail outlets. Japan, however, will be getting their version of the game the following month, February 16th.

In line with the updated version of the game, Gematsu reports that additional 12 Digimon have been added to the game, including MagnaGarurumon and EmperorGreymon. These two could be combined to become Susanoomon, through the use of ExE Evolution.

Set up as an open-world Role Playing Game (RPG), Namco Bandai Entertainment's new game is similar to its predecessors Digimon World: ReDigitize, Decode and the original Digimon World. One of its main differences of Next Order, though, is the inclusion of a second Digimon partner. The game features exploration of the Digital World, as well battling among Digimons. During combat, the player gives out commands to the Digimon through specific selections, which the partners follow in battle.

Story-wise, it revolves around a male and a female protagonist, to which the player can choose who to control. Takuto (the male protagonist) or Shiki (the female lead) get transported into the Digital World, where they are given an option to choose between Agumon, Gabumon, Palmon and Biyomon as the player's partner Digimon. They then travel the Digital World together, as the player develops the Digimon so they can evolve into a stronger form.
