After seven years from the first "Avatar" movie, nothing can hinder the "Avatar 2" for its release date on December 21, 2018. Meanwhile, people are asking whether the characters of Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang will still be present after its death in the first movie.

Several years have passed since the first "Avatar" movie, and now the sequel is now set for the second movie, "Avatar 2: Back to Pandora." According to GameNGuide, the first movie was a top-grossing hit, the reason why the cast and crew of the second movie are trying their best to make the second one a greater movie.

Even though, there has been any official announcements, recent rumors claim for the great possibility of the "Avatar 2" official release date on December 21, 2018 as James Cameron's name was listed on top of 20th Century Fox' schedule. However, the 20th Century Fox revealed that there also be some upcoming movies aside from "Avatar 2," so fans can expect some changes with the release date.

Consequently, another big question for the movie is about the characters of Sigourney Weaver as the Sci-fi goddess Dr. Grace Augustine and Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, the villain, as per Digital Spy. To recall, Sigourney and Stephen's characters in the first sequel died, and rumors claim that their characters will be back.

Sigourney confirmed that she will be in for a wholly new character in the "Avatar 2." After her character died in the first "Avatar" after being shot while on plane, she then given by the Na'Vi a ritual to get back, apparently, the process failed.

Likewise, the bad guy Col. Quaritch, played by Stephen Lang will said to be playing Neytiri in his return and will join Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as one of the main protagonist in "Avatar 2." Stephen's character will show off some twist and evolution in the story.

Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang's character to return in the next sequel "Avatar 2" has a great possibility to return from death. Their unexpired contracts with James Cameron is a proof of their next contribution for the sequel. Everything was set up for "Avatar 2," and fans can't wait to see the Na'Vi clan and Jake Sully's return in Pandora.
