HARD Summer Festival 2013 LINEUP, Dates Revealed: WATCH Trailer VIDEO Unleash Top 'Dogz,' Bassnectar, Knife Party, 2 Chainz, Justice, Zedd, Duck Sauce

HARD Events let the 'dogz' out Tuesday morning (literally) when they unleashed the 2013 lineup for the 'HARD Summer Festival' with a trailer video starring dogs styled like some of the headlining artists including Bassnectar, Justice, Knife Party, 2 Chainz, Zedd, Duck Sauce, and many more (FULL LINEUP below). The dates for Los Angeles' biggest summertime music event were also announced: Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th.

Returning this year for its sixth annual edition, the two-day electronic & hip hop festival will take place at Los Angeles State Historic Park in downtown Los Angeles. The venue includes thirty-two acres of protected grassy lawns and picture-perfect pathways, conveniently adjacent to historic Chinatown, Dodger Stadium and Union Station, according to the Hard Fest website. This year, HARD SUMMER will expand the festival running times for each day by adding four extra hours per day. Starting at noon and ending at midnight, HARD will host four stages featuring the world's best electronic music today.

This year's fest will have special tents devoted to two pace-setting dance labels, hosting the only U.S. stop of the Ed Banger Records 10th anniversary tour (with sets from Justice, Breakbot, Busy P and Mr Oizo, among others) and the Dirtybird Players revue with lascivious house sets from Claude von Stroke, Justin Martin, J.Phlip and more, reports LA Times.

The electronic festival is presented by HARD EVENTS, the world-renowned event and festival producer recognized for landmark festivals such as 'HARD Day of the Dead' and the three-day electronic music cruise 'Holy Ship!!!.' The brand, founded by Gary Richards in 2007, has become known for executing "larger-than-life performances, educated party people, stunning productions, and the brightest rising stars," as stated on their Facebook page. HARD assembles line-ups that consist of high-profile alternative, electronic and rock acts and cutting edge emerging talents, and this year's HARD SUMMER fest lineup is no exception.

In true, HARD fashion, the trailer announcing the 2013 HARD SUMMER artists was something out of the ordinary. They brought in the top "dogs" to unleash this year's list of performers, as the video clip uniquely portrays images of Justice as punk rock pooches, a fabulous canine Bassnectar, a hip-hop hound as 2 Chainz, a dapper doggy Gesaffelstein and of course the pup duo of Dog Blood, notes Crave Online.

Agatha Alexander, the producer of the promotional pup trailer, shot the video in Los Angeles with more than 25 dogs, reports USA Today. She said in a statement, "Skrillex always calls his friends 'dogs' on Twitter. I figured it would be cool to take it literally. Many of these acts have signature looks so I thought it would be fun to adapt those traits into the canine world. When Dog Blood came along, it was just too perfect to ignore."

Since launching in 2008, HARD SUMMER has become the largest ticketed music festival in the city of Los Angeles, expanding as a two-day event last year for the first time in the festival's 6-year history. In 2012, the festival drew over 50,000 party goers to downtown Los Angeles for high-octane performances from the likes of Skrillex, Bloc Party, Miike Snow (Live), Boys Noize, Bloody Beetroots (DJ set), NERO (Live), Magnetic Man, Squarepusher, James Murphy, Little Dragon and many more.
