Microsoft HoloLens comes to Japan

Microsoft is set to launch the HoloLens in Japan from 02nd December. Japan became the first territory in Asia to get the Microsoft HoloLens for which the preorders will be initiated in the later weeks of December.


Alex Kipman of Microsoft said "We Continue to be inspired by the work developers and customers are doing with HoloLens across the globe. Japan is no different". He even expressed his gratitude towards Japan Airlines which has already opted for HoloLens.  Kipman said "By using HoloLens, Japan Airlines has developed two proof-of-concept programs to provide supplemental training for engine mechanics, and for flight crew trainees who want to be promoted to co-pilot status. We are very excited to have them on this holographic journey with us."

A month ago in October 2016, a formal announcement was made by Microsoft to launch the HoloLens in six new territories that are Germany, New Zealand, UK, France, Australia, and U.K. However, within a year, Microsoft is hoping to make it available across the globe. 


All About HoloLens - Back in October, Microsoft explained some of its long list of features which includes Microsoft's Edge Browser, 3D content creation tools with Windows 10 and 3D model library using which the users can pull the digital 3D object into Augmented Reality Environment produced by HoloLens. 


Earlier in July 2016, it was reported that Independent development teams have been working on Microsoft's Augmented Reality Headset with the inclusion of the mobile game phenomenon "Pokemon Go" for which a YouTube video was published with received more than 1.8 Million hits.  


In August, Microsoft unveiled the HoloLens in North America with the price tag of whopping $3,000 which was made available for developers only. Later in October, HoloLens AR Headsets was made available in the UK for developers for which the preorder price tag is £2,719 as quoted by ITPRO.
