Glenn Beck Conspiracy Theory Alleges Third Man Was Involved In Boston Marathon Bombings
Glenn Beck explained his conspiracy theory on his show 'The Blaze' yesterday and said that the U.S. government is withholding information about the Boston Marathon bombing investigation.
"Beck is convinced the government is covering up a major piece of the Boston bombing plot, and it's all tied to the mysterious Saudi national questioned by police before the Tsarnaev brothers were identified as suspects," reports UPI.
"Monday morning Glenn Beck laid out what he knows about the Saudi connection to the Boston marathon bombings. It is a story that the mainstream media has all but completely ignored, though Beck says The Blaze's Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood reached out to numerous other networks in an effort to get the story out," states 'The Blaze' website.
Beck suggests that the Saudi national, previously believed to have been a person of interest in the attack, was to be deported under Section 212 3B, "Classes for Aliens Ineligible for Visas or Admission-Terrorist Activities," according to Latinos Post. He identified the national to be a man named Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, who was initially associated with the bombings but is no longer being labeled as a suspect.
"The government has not come clean," Beck said, according to the Epoch Times. "Some of this information has come out over the weekend, and immediately the government tried to discredit it."
Beck said that multiple sources from law enforcement agencies have told him that a Saudi national was detained on April 15, the day that the bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, the Epoch Times reports.
On Tuesday, Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security said, "authorities questioned a Saudi student who reportedly was on a terror watchlist," and added that Alharbi was only put on a terror watchlist while he was being interviewed by the FBI.
However, Beck claims that this charge is part of a government cover-up led by President Obama and the Saudi government, according to Lationos Post.
According to UPI, Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-S.C., spoke to Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano during a committee hearing. He said, "We've got this guy who was there. We know he was there. He was arrested, he wasn't arrested, was detained in the hospital covered with blood, he was at the scene, and yet we're going to deport him. We're going to remove him from the scene." Napolitano dismissed Duncan's question saying that it was "so full of misstatements and misapprehensions and it's just not worthy of an answer," and that she was "unaware of anyone who is being deported for national security concerns at all related to Boston,"
"New information provided to TheBlaze reveals Alharbi's file was altered early Wednesday evening to disassociate him from the initial charges," states 'The Blaze' website.
Napolitano says that Glenn Beck's conspircay has no truth in it, according to the Inquisitr. Beck responded that she could spend time in "jail time for perjury. "It is so rare that somebody's name is taken off [the terror watchlist] outside of death, that none of ours sources can tell us that it's ever happened. It is laughable what Janet Napolitano said yesterday," Beck said, according to the Inquisitr.
Department of Homeland Security officials later told CNN that the confusion over Saudi nationals following the arrest is actually due to the fact that one was in a Boston hospital after the marathon because he at the marathon and was injured, but was not a suspect nor a person of interest, according to the Epoch Times.
The Epoch Times also reports that there is another Saudi national from the Boston area who is in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody for violating his visa requirements but that he has no relation to the Boston Marathon bombings.
"If the American people do not stand up and they do not demand justice to be done, and they do not demand information about the Saudi right now, our sources tell us there's one of two things: he's either on a plane tomorrow or he's already gone," Beck said, according to the Epoch Times. He also said that he will have more updates in the coming days.
