Android 7.0 Nougat Update: Sony Xperia X, Xperia X Compact Receives Amazing Features
Android 7.0 Nougat update is slowly acquiring other smartphones of Sony. Earlier, Sony listed devices to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The update already hit the Sony Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ smartphone end of November.
Current reports indicate that Sony has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to its devices such as Xperia X, Xperia X Dual and Xperia X Compact. It is stated that the roll-out is currently available for particular regions and soon the other tech markets will witness the Android 7.0 Nougat update in coming days.
As per the Sony's Twitter announcement, Xperia X, and X Compact will start receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update in a phased manner and users should watch out for the update-notifications on their Xperia X devices.
The report cites users to claim that the Xperia X, Xperia X Dual, and Xperia Compact are receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update that will take the build number to version 34.2.A.0.266 on the respective handsets
According to BGR, it is reported that the Sony smartphone Xperia X series will have big improvements to the user experience with new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features.
Few of the upgrades found are the on-the-go Doze mode, split screen, quick app switch and direct reply feature, among others. It is reported that Sony users started receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in India, Latin America, Middle East, Russia, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam.
Next in-line to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update is the Xperia Z4 tablet, Zperia Z3+, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium and Xperia Z5 Compact. The Xperia Z3, which was the first non-Nexus smartphones to get the Android N Developer Preview, is not included in the list.
