Netflix Original Series 'Travelers' drops Official Trailer [VIDEO]

The amount of Netflix original series will grow by one more to include the time travelling science-fiction series, Travelers.

The short synopsis of the story gives us an idea about what exactly it is based upon, it says many centuries into the future, the Earth's population has dwindled to almost nothing. The survivors had discovered a key to time travel.

In order to save the humanity, a desperate group enters the 21st century on a mission to avert the disaster.

Netflix's newest show will follow a team of people who are gifted with the ability to travel through the time. But unlike any normal time travel, these people won't be travelling time with their bodies, in fact they travel only with their minds. Then, they inhabit the bodies of the people who are living during that time period.

It's clear that they live in a time where humanity is being destroyed. So, ultimately they are using their powers to go back and eventually change the history. It's quite an interesting concept and poses a good amount of 'ethical' questions in viewer's minds.

Some of the questions can be like: How far can one go when the future of an entire society is at risk? Whose lives are worth giving up and whose are worth saving up for this? How will "playing God" change the course of history as we know it?

The series have already shown several of its episodes on the Canadian Showcase Channel but hasn't come to the United States yet. Eventually, that all changes this Friday as the trailer is out now.

'Travelers' tells us the story of a falling society and what it takes to save it. After the recent political events, one can only say it stays in the "sci-fi" category on our television screen. Check out the trailer below:
