'CityMeals On Wheels' Delivers Hot Lunches To The Most Needed in NYC on Christmas Day

The activity made by "CityMeals on Wheels" was only for New Yorkers in need on this occasion. This labor is for people across the city of New York who can't prepare food for themselves because of their age, like old ones or those who have health conditions or disease that made it difficult them to cook or shop for food.

The program has been serving meals for people over 35 years up to date, but in this opportunity the team goes on with December month preparation. Quoting Elizabeth Shapiro, Executive Director for "City Meals on Wheels", "We're making sure they know New Yorkers are thinking about them on the holidays," according to New York CBS Local.

On this time of the year all personal feel more committed to the "CityMeals on Wheels" program. Ricardo Morales is a much advocated member who says he put love into every meal he made every day and being able to deliver a better service for them. The preparation usually starts at 3:00 am when opens the kitchen to make 900 hot lunches for the Tri-State area.

Even for some people who receive this meals, compare the "CityMeals on Wheel" on this time of year like a Santa's deliver on the door. Alice Douglas from Brooklyn a 94 years old woman that calls a CMOW Volunteer at midday on Sunday, she says it could be Santa's in her door, bringing her lunch.

"CityMeals on Wheel" is only possible with the help of neighbors who kindly volunteer on this program offering a closest communities service to deliver daily about to 18,000 home-bound in the whole state of New York.
