'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 Shooting Will Take More Time Than Fans Expected

The series producers announced that season 7 will count only with seven episodes. Game of Thrones on past seasons released more than ten episodes over the last seven years on air, so the question marks are in for many of the show fans until summer, when it starts.

The HBO series normally film from July to December to get ten episodes. The production started last year on September month to end in February of this year with seven episodes wrap. This year shooting is previous the big finally of season eight, which will have six episodes, already confirmed by the show producers and some cast members, according to EW News.

Show producers claim that the five month invested on this production is rougher than the last ones despite reasonable less recording hours.  The context design so visual effects, different shooting locations and more action scenes it takes the entire year to finish them, adding the editing part, shares Winter is Coming News.

The fans expectations about the show probably are higher this year. It's been a roller coaster for GOT's followers, that for sure they look for improvement about past seasons productions so the story trama. The final decision is that there will be thirteen episodes running now until the final wrap.  The cast also commented about this, quoting Ian Glen (Jorah Mormont) on recent interview.

"There are 15 more hours left in Thrones as we understand it, but that may change, but that's as far as we know. I think the scale and size of the set pieces, the world that is being created it's just getting more and more extraordinary and they feel they need that time to shoot seven hours as opposed to 10," explained the actor to Radio times and shared by Time News.

Also the producers mentioned that the storytelling is not compromised, the narrative remains faithful to achieve the purpose written for every character on the show, as always does at the end of each season so when the show ends with season eight.
